Privacy model

The cloud stores ciphertext, not a readable copy of your notes.

Data keys are generated client-side, and notes and attachments are encrypted and decrypted on-device. The server stores the encrypted data and commit chain logs needed for live syncing, but cannot read the content without the user key.
